1. Who handles your payment
1.1 Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle takes your payment, charges the applicable tax, issues your receipt and sends refunds.
1.2 Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply to your purchase. Nothing in this policy reduces the rights they give you.
2. 14-day refund for unused tokens
2.1 You can get a full refund of a token pack within 14 days of buying it, as long as no tokens from that pack have been spent. The refund includes the tax you paid on it.
2.2 When we refund a pack, its tokens are removed from your workspace balance. The Service shows the order in which bonus and purchased tokens are spent (Terms, Section 4.4).
2.3 This window applies to every buyer, individual or business, wherever you live.
3. Failed and defective generations
3.1 If a paid action fails for a reason on our side, the tokens reserved for it go back to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask (Terms, Section 4.5).
3.2 If an output is materially defective, for example empty or cut off, contact us within 14 days. We will return the tokens or generate the output again (Terms, Section 5.2).
3.3 In both cases you get tokens back, not money.
4. Right of withdrawal in the EU/EEA and UK
4.1 If you buy as a consumer in the EU/EEA or the UK, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. At checkout you tick a box to ask for your tokens straight away and to start using them at once. By doing so you give up that statutory right to withdraw (Terms, Section 5.3).
4.2 You keep the 14-day refund for unused tokens in Section 2, and your other statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
5. Unused tokens when an account ends
5.1 What happens to tokens you have not spent when an account closes is set out in Section 14.4 of our Terms:
- If you close your account, unused purchased tokens are forfeited, except where Section 2 of this policy or the law gives you a refund.
- If we close your account without cause, or stop providing the Service, we refund unused purchased tokens at the price you paid.
- If we close your account because you broke our Terms, unused tokens are forfeited, to the extent the law allows.
6. Bonus tokens
6.1 Free tokens we give you, for example at sign-up or in a promotion, have no cash value and are never refunded.
7. Tax on business purchases
7.1 If your business paid VAT but had a valid VAT ID it did not enter at checkout, email support@avoidcontent.com with the receipt. We add the VAT ID to the transaction and the tax is refunded to you. Paddle allows this correction once per transaction.
8. How to ask for a refund
8.1 Email support@avoidcontent.com from the email address of your account and include the order number from your Paddle receipt. You can also use the link in that receipt, or find your order at paddle.net and choose to request a refund.
8.2 An approved refund goes back to the payment method you used.
8.3 Please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank. A disputed payment may lead us to suspend the account while the dispute is open (Terms, Section 4.8).
9. Changes and contact
9.1 We may update this policy. The version in force on the day you bought a pack applies to that pack.
9.2 Questions about a refund: support@avoidcontent.com.
